+I cannot connect my Addressable RGB cable/s to the Motherboard. Why?
Some motherboard models only provide standard RGB connection (4-pin) and not the Addressable RGB connection (same connector as 4-pin but with one pin missing).

+There is only a 4-pin RGB header on my motherboard. Can I use a splitter to connect to my Addressable RGB fans?
Unfortunately you cannot.   The technologies are different between the two.

On the regular +12V RGB header, all LEDs of a primary color (R, G, B) are chained together and act simultaneously depending on the input signal. This makes individual LED addressing impossible.

+Can you provide circuitry diagrams?
Due to company policies, we do not provide circuitry info or diagrams to the public.
+What are the different types of RGB?

RGB

RGB refers to LED lighting that can change colors. When used in combination with a RGB signal source such as an RGB compatible motherboard or RGB controller, it allows you to select color and effect for the device. However, due to limitations in technology, RGB can only display one color at the same time.

Example: Rev RGB fan

ARGB

ARGB or Addressable RGB is the digital version of RGB. Using an ARGB signal source such as an ARGB compatible motherboard or ARGB controller, we can specify color at individual LED levels which allows you to display multiple colors at the same time.

ARGB devices use 5V 3-Pin connectors and are not compatible with 12V 4-Pin RGB devices. If an ARGB device is somehow connected to a 12V RGB signal source, the LEDs would be damaged.

Example: Mirage 12 ARGB

FRGB

FRGB stands for Fixed RGB. Although you can see multiple colors at the same time on the device, the LED effects are static. You cannot connect it to a signal source to change the effects.

Example: Saturn 12 FRGB

DRGB

DRGB stands for Disco RGB which comes with special “disco” effects on the device. Like ARGB, it has a dynamic LED effect showing multiple colors at the same time. The only difference is that DRGB only has the Disco effect and cannot be connected to an ARGB signal source to change the LED effects.

Example: Saturn 12F DRGB

+My P7-C1 case’s front LEDs don’t light up. What do I need to connect?
Please check if the LED cable from the front is pre-connected. If not, please connect it as shown in photo below.
Secondly please make sure to connect the Molex connector to the power supply in order to activate the LED strip.

+I want to remove the front panel to install/clean fans. How do I remove it?
At the bottom of the front panel, you will find a slit-like opening. Curl your fingers into the opening and pull to remove the front panel. You may need to pull with some force.

(Exception: P7 Series PC cases)

Or take a look at our fun video:

+When I push the button on top of my Streak case the LED on the front panel does not change colors.
Please make sure you connected the Reset 2-pin to the LED Strip’s connector from the front panel and also connected the Molex 4-pin to the power supply to activate the RGB function.

+I have connected all cables but the LEDs on the front panel don’t light up?
Please make sure you connect the SATA cable to the power supply in order to activate the LED function.

(Models: Cylon, Playa, Aero-500G RGB, Bolt, Bolt Mini,…)

+I have a Quartz Pro case. How do I switch off the rear LED I/O light?
Please disconnect the Molex 4-pin connector to disable the rear I/O LED light.
+How do I install 240mm AIO liquid coolers in Cylon case?
Unfortunately The Cylon case supports only 120mm AIO on the front panel. You would be able to install the 240mm radiator, but no space for both fans.
+What will happen if I make modifications to the AeroCool PC case?
We do not recommend making modifications to the case. In doing so, you will be breaching the warranty. If any damage to the case after you made modification to it of any kind, the warranty will become void.
+The LED next to the power button is flashing on and off (flickering). Is this normal?
The other end of this LED cable is connected to the “HDD” header on the Motherboard, so the flickering indicates that your HDD is working (computing in progress)
+How do I connect the 2-pin connectors from the case’s I/O to my Motherboard?
Please refer to your Motherboard’s user’s manual. It contains detailed illustrations on how to connect them.
+How do I turn off my AeroCool Bolt Mini front panel LED? The LED control button cycles through the modes but does not turn it off.
Please press and hold the LED button for 3 – 6 secs to turn off the LEDs on the front panel
+How do I control lighting effects using the motherboard’s ARGB software? (for cases with H66C hub)

For cases that come with a H66C case fan hub such as:
AirHawk/NightHawk Duo, Aero One Eclipse/Duo, Aero One Mini Eclipse, and Visor (please see manual for hub version and connection guide)

  1. First make sure that BOTH the ARGB connector (to the ARGB M/B) and the RESET/LED RGB SW (from the case front I/O) are connected to the hub.
  2. See if you can select the preset LED mode by pressing the Reset/LED button.
  3. Open up the M/B ARGB control software and select the desired LED effect.
  4. PRESS and HOLD the RESET button for 3 sec to pass LED control over to the motherboard.
  5. The Hub will not be displayed in the RGB control software, but you will still be able to control the LED effect through the software.

+How do I control lighting effects using the motherboard’s ARGB software? (for cases with ARGB hub other than H66C)

For NON H66C/H66F Hub that also has a Reset/LED RGB SW connection such as:
Python

Quartz Revo

Tor, Tor Pro, Klaw

  1. Please first make sure that BOTH the ARGB connector (to the ARGB M/B) and the RESET SW/LED (from the case front I/O) are connected to the Hub.
  2. See if you can select the built-in LED mode by pressing the Reset/LED button to check Hub functionality.
  3. Open up the M/B ARGB control software and select the desired LED effects.
  4. PRESS and HOLD the RESET/LED button for 3 sec to pass LED control over to the motherboard.
  5. The Hub will not be displayed in the RGB control software, but you will still be able to control the LED effect through the software.
+How do I control lighting effects using the motherboard’s ARGB software? (for cases without hub)

For all other ARGB cases that do NOT have a fan Hub included.
Please visit the product page and watch the ARGB motherboard connection guide video.

For example:
Atomic

Hive ARGB

  1. Fans usually have a Reset/LED button connector that should be connected to Reset or LED SW.
  2. Once fans have been connected and powered on, pressing the Reset/LED button will allow for fan LED mode selection.
  3. Press and hold the Reset/LED button for 3 sec to pass LED control over to the motherboard (ARGB Connectors must be connected to ARGB M/B).

As a general rule for AeroCool ARGB cases: If you can cycle through the built-in LED modes using the Reset or LED Control Button, pressing and holding the Reset/LED button for 3 sec will pass ARGB control over to the motherboard’s ARGB control software (Asus Aura, Gigabyte Fusion, MSI Mystic Light or ASRock Polychrome), provided the ARGB connector is already connected to the M/B ARGB port.

+Can I control fan speed with the P7-S1 software?
Unfortunately this software only allows you to monitor fan speed, not to control it.
+What are the fans installed in these case and where can I buy them:
– Klaw: Eclipse fans.
– Tor: Edge fans.
– Tor Pro: Edge fans.

Please consult with your local dealers for where to buy.

+I have an Orbit RC fan set. Is it possible to connect it to an addressable RGB Motherboard?
Unfortunately the Orbit RC is a closed system design. It can only be controlled by the remote controller that it came with.
+Pulse-L240 liquid cooler. The little green fan (Flow Indicator - not electrically connected) sometimes spins and sometimes do not spin?
The cable coming out from the pump is a 4-pin PWM connector, so sometimes when the CPU is not under heavy load (idle) the BIO will reduce the RPM speed of the pump.

Under this condition, the coolant inside the system may flow slower and therefore the force is not strong enough to push the blades in the Flow Indicator, so it may seem the pump is not working, nevertheless the entire cooling unit is still working to cool the CPU.

+How much to refill for P7-L240?
Capacity is around 250ml. Please make sure of the following:

  • When adding coolant, ensure your system is powered off and no electronic parts are placed around the cooler.
  • When refilling the coolant please observe there are no major bubbles in the reservoir.
  • Please use dedicated coolant or distilled water.
+How do I change the Mirage liquid cooler’s logo orientation on the water block?

  • Hold on to the protective cover then rotate counter-clockwise until the short stubs beneath the cover can clear the guiding grooves to allow for cover detachment from the water block.
  • With the protective cover removed, you’ll see that the mirror is held in place by the white plastic ring cover.
  • Pull out the plastic ring cover carefully without scratching the mirror surface.
  • Remove the mirror using a thin object. Note: make sure not to scratch the mirror.
  • Rotate the mirror until the logo matches your preferred orientation before placing it back on the waterblock.
  • Reassemble the ring cover and the protective cover

Please take a look at our short video below.

Please note:

  • Be careful not to scratch the mirror surface or damage the water block. Doing so will void warranty.
  • There is a small plastic stub on the back of the logo. It appears to match the hole on top of the water block but it does NOT hold the logo in place and will not keep the logo from rotating.
As can be seen from the side view, it is not long enough to reach the hole on the water block. If the stub on the logo happens to be longer than the edge, it can be filed down or cut without any problem.

+For Pro fan kits, I cannot change my fan’s LED using the remote. Why ?

The H66F hub allows for dual LED control mode that you can select using the remote control. Before the fan/hub can respond to the Mode/Color selection command using the remote, it would need to be set to HUB control mode by pressing the HUB* button.

  • HUB mode: Allows for Mode/Color selection using the remote control
  • MOBO mode: Allows for Motherboard ARGB software control

*Note: Some hubs have the HUB/MOBO function inverted, so please try both buttons if you see that the fan LEDs are not responding to Mode/Color selection

+Which is the correct way to install power supply? The fan facing down or facing up?
All PC cases are compatible with power supply installed in either way.
The decision is really depending on the internal layout of your case.
If the PSU compartment is located at the bottom of the case, then you will want to have your PSU fan facing the floor, so that the air it takes in is colder than the air up above.
(Almost all today’s cases in the market are of this internal structure)
